Martial Law V2 by IgnisFerroque Martial Law V2 by IgnisFerroque
I was never really satisfied with the original rendering of this, somehow it looked kinda off and i couldn't really get it to look as i wanted. So i decided to revisit it (because it has way too many details to go to waste...) but started experimenting and i actually like the rainy version a lot better. So, here it is. Rainy version ;)

Comments appreciated, favs too ;)

All materials by me, all models by me except for the background car models (behind the two foreground trees) which were downloaded from

17hr rendertime (2560x1440).. at about 60 percent CPU load because 4GB RAM aren't enough :P

I love the rain too and technically brilliant.

I know what you mean about puddles but less is more sometimes and 17 hours render is a big hit,
is that all one scene/layer, the thought of it falling over at 19 hrs 58 minutes would give me bad dreams.

You are a brave and talented man

Thanks keep up the excellent work.

Ah 17hours isn't even that much, i was actually surprised how fast it rendered (on a 6 year old Core2Duo at least...) ;)
Thanks a lot :)

I'd get rid of the frame, the title inside the picture and the big signature.
Nevertheless a solid picture :)

Hm dunno, I've posted my stuff without them recently on other sites, but have been adding them here ever since some of my pictures started circulating on some wallpaper sites. At least they have some fixing to do now before they can add them ;)

it really is a nice job, but there's something in the lower portion that doesn't seems right...
please don't hate me for saying this after 17hr of rendering but...
you should maybe try to add some wet to the awning on the right and some puddle on the ground, it should help to go from "good" to "great" ;)
