Another Vray Test... i originally wanted the statue to look a bit more grotesque, but well, it ended up more like a lightning experiment. Is it just me or are night scenes way harder to do that bright daylight? Not easy to get it to look realistic i think.
Comments appreciated
Somehow i didn't really get Vrays displacement shader to work properly, the statue looked fine when rendered with Cinemas SPD, but quite odd with Vray.
Night scenes are harder than day scenes because you have to balance showing that its nighttime (less light) vs having enough light to show stuff. Also there is the use of light for setting up the atmosphere too. Then you have gamma problems too, even if your monitor is perfectly calibrated, most people do not calibrate their monitors. That being said night scenes can be challenging and fun.
Thank you I wanted it too look a bit creepy, not obviously though This is just my second picture rendered with Vray, so, i´m still experimenting. the first one actually turned out better
Looks great.
Thanks a lot
Great render quality, too. I've only used VRay for Sketchup, and it's a lot of work to get it to come out right.
